AWC Leadership Transition

Dear AWC Family and Community Partners,

It is with a mix of emotions that I share with you the news of Lisa Neal-Graves' resignation as CEO of Aurora Wellness Community (AWC).

Lisa's departure marks the end of an era for AWC, but her impact and legacy will endure far beyond her time with us. From the vibrant heart of Aurora, Lisa has led a transformative movement, embodying our commitment to building health, wealth, and well-being within our community.

Since joining AWC, Lisa's visionary leadership has propelled us forward, turning challenges into opportunities, and inspiring us to strive for excellence in all that we do. Her dedication to the work and her contributions have been invaluable, and we are profoundly grateful for her service.

As we bid farewell to Lisa, we want to assure our community and partners that AWC remains steadfast in our commitment to serving and caring for our people. Our team is stepping in to ensure continuity of service delivery, particularly as we prepare for the upcoming AWC Health Fair on March 30th. We are dedicated to maintaining the momentum and impact of our initiatives, with community well-being at the forefront of our efforts.

Additionally, the School of Medicine will be working diligently to fill the role of AWC CEO promptly and with input from the community. We will keep everyone updated on the progress of the hiring process and ensure a smooth transition of leadership.

While we will miss Lisa, we are excited to continue the important work of AWC and build upon the foundation she has helped us lay. Together, we will carry forward the vision of a healthier, happier Aurora for all.

Please join us in wishing her the best in her future endeavors. If you want to send Lisa a note, you can connect with her via LinkedIn.

Thank you, Lisa, for your unwavering dedication and passion for our community.

Sincerely,
Anne Fuhlbrigge MD MS

These programs continue to serve Aurora residents every day. What’s changing most is the paperwork, not the current state of care. Our job, as part of this community, is to help one another stay informed and supported so that no one delays the care they need out of fear or confusion.
