Health Fair Offers Human-Centered Services
At the core of the Aurora Wellness Center's mission is a dedication to addressing various facets of community wellness, including healthcare, food access and security, housing, generational care, and community building. Through the collective efforts of our partners like Aurora Health Alliance, we strive to create a healthier and more resilient Aurora.
Our lineup of partners represents a diverse array of expertise and resources, ensuring that attendees will find support in various aspects of their well-being journey. There will be experts from CU Anschutz Multidisciplinary Center on Aging to the Johnson Depression Center, Ludeman Family Center for Women’s Health Research to Rheumatology, Amigos De Mexico, and beyond giving screenings, consultations, and valuable information to promote health at every stage of life.
Community and Government Resources
Community wellness extends beyond medical care. The Aurora Wellness Community Health Fair will also feature organizations like the Food Bank of the Rockies, Alzheimer’s Association Colorado Chapter, and Aurora Economic Opportunity Center, addressing crucial needs such as food access, housing assistance, and economic empowerment. With partners like Hunger Free Colorado and MIEL Organization, we're working to ensure that no member of our community goes hungry or lacks access to vital resources.
Moreover, the fair will provide a platform for community building and engagement. The City of Aurora Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces to the Aurora Community Connection will provide opportunities to connect, participate in recreational activities, and learn about local resources and initiatives aimed at lowering barriers to access and supporting Aurora’s residents.
Lifting Aurora Together
This event welcomes the diverse residents of the area. There will be multilingual community navigators to help attendees find resources, and all services are tailored to people with unique needs who may face barriers to proper health and wellness services. In addition to the wealth of information and resources available, there will be giveaways, a yoga class for relaxation and mindfulness, and immigration law assistance provided by the Aurora Office of International and Immigrant Affairs and AVAIL Legal Solutions.
The Aurora Wellness Community Health Fair isn't just a one-time event; it's a testament to the ongoing commitment of our community to prioritize wellness and support one another. It's an invitation to join hands, share knowledge, and build a brighter, healthier future together.
So, whether you're seeking medical advice, exploring resources for food assistance, or simply looking to connect with your neighbors and learn more about what Aurora has to offer, we invite you to join us at the Aurora Wellness Community Health Fair. Together, let's embrace holistic well-being, celebrate our diversity, and strengthen the fabric of our community.
